White Swan Laundry Notice of Proposed Voluntary Remediation

Notice is hereby given pursuant to 20.6.3.300.B NMAC that a Voluntary Remediation Agreement has been proposed between Elisia Limited Partnership, LLP, and the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) for a property located at 1368 Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe. The agreement proposes to perform pilot testing of soil vapor extraction (SVE) wells in order to support the design of a soil vapor extraction remediation system for this site. Potential contaminants include Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), specifically, chlorinated solvents including: tetrachloroethene (PCE), trichloroethene (TCE), cis-1,2-dichloroethene (DCE), trans-1,2-DCE, and vinyl chloride (VC) in ground water, soil, soil vapor, and indoor air. The proposed agreement, including a site map and a preliminary remediation work plan, is attached to this notice below. To request more information, call NMED in Santa Fe at 505-827-2900.

Prior to approval of this proposed Voluntary Remediation Agreement, NMED will allow until November 30, 2024, to receive written comments and during which time a public meeting may be requested by any interested person. Requests for public meeting shall be in writing and shall set forth the reasons why the meeting should be held. A meeting will be held if the NMED determines that there is significant public interest.
