Tijeras Arroyo Use Attainability Analysis - Public Comment Draft
This is a 60 day public comment period for a water quality study conducted by the operators of Sandia National Laboratories and the U.S. Department of Energy (NTESS and DOE). NTESS is considering a third-party petition to the Water Quality Commission to redesignate the Rio Grande to Four Hills Bridge reach of Tijeras Arroyo as ephemeral instead of intermittent under New Mexico's Water Quality Standards (20.6.4 NMAC). NTESS is providing a copy of the “Rio Grande to Four Hills Bridge reach of Tijeras Arroyo Use Attainability Analysis (“UAA”)” for stakeholder, review, comment, and engagement. NTESS will hold a public stakeholder meeting on March 5, 2025 where NTESS will take questions and collaboratively engage on public comments related to the UAA. Please visit https://digitalrepository.unm.edu/snl_tijeras_arroyo/to download the report, for instructions on providing comment, and for detailed information about the meeting. The comment period closes at 5:00 PM on April 10, 2025.
