DP-1767, Rodeo Mutual Domestic Water Cooperative proposes to renew the Discharge Permit for the discharge of up to 10,000 gallons per day of treated groundwater from a reverse osmosis treatment system to an evaporative impoundment. Potential contaminants from this type of discharge include iron, manganese and fluoride. The facility is located at 208 United States Highway 80, Rodeo, in Section 30, Township 28 South, Range 21 West, Hidalgo County. Groundwater most likely to be affected is at a depth of approximately 78-118 feet and had a pre-discharge total dissolved solids concentration of 364 milligrams per liter.
