DP-1251, Moonstone Dairy: Phil Douma proposes to renew the Discharge Permit for the discharge of up to 80,000 gallons per day of wastewater from the production area of a dairy facility. Potential contaminants from this type of discharge include nitrogen compounds. The facility and discharge locations are located at 795 NM 202, approximately 12 miles northeast of Portales, in Section 1, 11, and 12, Township 1 South, Range 36 East, Roosevelt County. Groundwater most likely to be affected is at a depth of approximately 185-200 feet and had a pre-discharge total dissolved solids concentration of 400 milligrams per liter.
